Lo stile di Wes Anderson e quello di Stanley Kubrick in un trailer mash-up creato da Steve Ramsden. I due film presi in considerazione sono l’ultimo lavoro di Anderson, Grand Budapest Hotel e Shining. Ecco a voi The Grand Overlook Hotel.

Si è abbassato pochi minuti fa il sipario sull’87 edizione degli Oscar, presentati con poca verve e ancor meno ritmo da Neil Patrick Harris. A trionfare durante la serata è stato Birdman (o l’imprevedibile virtù dell’ignoranza) con quattro statuette: Miglior Film, Miglior Regia, Miglior Sceneggiatura Originale e Miglior Fotografia.

Com’era prevedibile, Julianne Moore ha ricevuto l’Oscar per la sua performance in Still Alice. Miglior attore protagonista, anche qui senza colpi di scena rispetto a quanto annunciato dai pronostici, Eddie Redmayne per la sua interpretazione dell’astrofisico Stephen Hawking ne La teoria del tutto.

Nessuna sorpresa anche per i non protagonisti: Patricia Arquette per Boyhood e J.K. Simmons per Whiplash.

Milena Canonero si è portata a casa il suo quarto Oscar (dopo Maria Antonietta, Barry Lindon e Momenti di Gloria), per i costumi di Grand Budapest Hotel, premio strameritato, mentre il riconoscimento al Miglior Film Straniero è andato al film polacco Ida, di Pawe? Pawlikowski, anche questo dato come favorito.

In un’edizione che non ha brillato in quanto a novità, c’è stato spazio anche per qualche svista madornale. La più grave: si sono dimenticati di inserire Francesco Rosi nel momento più toccante della serata, il video tributo dedicato ai personaggi del mondo del cinema scomparsi nell’ultimo anno. C’era Virna Lisi, c’era Anita Ekberg, ma del regista napoletano nessuna traccia. Vedremo se e come l’Academy cercherà di rimediare a questa grave mancanza.

Si è svolta ieri sera presso la Royal Opera House di Londra, la 67ma edizione dei BAFTA (British Academy Film Awards), la controparte britannica degli Oscar, presentata per la decima volta consecutiva da Stephen Fry.

Tom Cruise con il cast di Boyhood

A dominare la serata, Ii film di Wes Anderson, Grand Budapest Hotel, che ha ottenuto cinque premi: musiche (Desplat), trucco, scenografie, sceneggiatura originale, costumi. Ma sono stati Boyhood e La teoria del tutto a portarsi a casa i riconoscimenti più importanti.

Richard Linklater ha ottenuto il premio per il Miglior Film, Regia e Attrice Non Protagonista (Patrcia Arquette), mentre la pellicola di James Marsh ha vinto nelle categorie di Miglior Film Inglese, Sceneggiatura Non Originale, e Migliore Attore Protagonista, Eddie Redmayne. Il BAFTA per la Migliore Interpretazione Femminile è andato, come previsto a Julianne Moore per la sua performance in Still Alice.

Anche Whiplash si è portato a casa tre riconoscimenti: Montaggio, Suono, e Attore Non Protagonista a JK Simmons. Il premio per il miglior film straniero è andato a Ida, quello per il Miglior Documentario a Citizenfour e quello per il miglior film d’animazione a The Lego Movie. Il Birdman di Alejandro González Iñárritu, con dieci nomination, è riuscito a mettere le mani solo sul BAFTA per la Migliore Fotografia, andato a Emmanuel Lubezki.

Mancano ormai poche ore alla 72esima edizione dei Golden Globe, i premi della Hollywood Foreign Press Association che saranno consegnati questa notte alle 2:00 ora italiana al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles. A condurre la cerimonia, trasmessa dalla NBC, tornano per la terza volta le comiche Tina Fey e Amy Poehler.

Dopo la debacle del sito ufficiale dei Golden Globe, sul quale ieri hanno campeggiato per qualche minuto i titoli di due film dati come vincitori, ovvero Selma e Into the Woods e l’immediata spiegazione della Hollywood Foreign Press Association (pare sia stata una svista della società che gesisce il portale, intenta a fare delle prove in vista dell’annuncio dei vincitori ufficiali), si riparte da zero e la domanda è sempre la stessa: chi vincerà?

In testa alla corsa come Miglior Film Drammatico dell’anno c’è Boyhood di Richard LInklater con cinque candidature, che dovrà vedersela con Foxcatcher di Bennett Miller, con The Imitation Game di Morten Tyldum e con La teoria del tutto di James Marsh. Ma anche con Selma – La strada per la libertà, pellicola diretta da Ava DuVernay che racconta la storia della marcia del 1965 guidata da Martin Luther King in Alabama per i diritti dei neri. Il film prodotto da Oprah Winfrey e Brad Pitt, che da noi arriverà il 12 febbraio, detiene già un record, quello del 98% di recensioni positive su Rotten Tomatoes.

Il premio alla Miglior Regia se lo giocheranno senza se e senza ma Linklater e Iñárritu mentre quello per la Migliore Sceneggiatura è ancora da vedere: sfida apertissima tra Birdman, il cui script è stato firmato da Alejandro González Iñárritu, Nicolás Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris e Armando Bo, Wes Anderson per Grand Budapest Hotel e Gillian Flynn per Gone Girl, che ha adattato per lo schermo il suo romanzo, L’amore bugiardo.

Passando agli attori protagonisti, la gara sarà molto probabilmente tra Eddie Redmayne, che interpreta il fisico Stephen Hawking ne La teoria del tutto, e Benedict Cumberbatch, nel ruolo del matematico gay Alan Turing in The Imitation Game (gli altri concorrenti sono Steve Carell per Foxcatcher, Jake Gyllenhaal per Lo sciacallo – Nightcrawler e David Oyelowo di Selma). Il premio alla Miglior Attrice Drammatica invece è tutto ancora da giocare: se la vedranno la Julianne Moore malata di Alzheimer di Still Alice, una Jennifer Aniston particolarmente intensa in Cake, la rivelazione Rosamunde Pike, protagonista di Gone Girl di David Fincher, Reese Witherspoon per Wild e Felicity Jones per La teoria del tutto.

Il globo per la Commedia dell’anno sono in molti ad averla già messo in tasca ad Alejandro González Iñárritu per Birdman. I rivali sono Grand Budapest Hotel, Into The Woods, St. Vincent e Pride. Anche il premio al Miglior Attore in un Musical o Commedia sembra già essere stato meritatamente assegnato: al sorprendente Michael Keaton di Birdman. Tra le attrici in un Musical o Commedia invece fare pronostici risulta un po’ più azzardato: c’è ancora una volta Julianne Moore, ma per il film di David Cronenberg Maps to the Stars, c’è Amy Adams per Big Eyes, la Emily Blunt di Into The Woods, Dame Helen Mirren per The Hundred Foot Journey e la giovanissima Quvenzhané Wallis, già candidata all’Oscar per nel 2013 per Re della terra selvaggia, per il musical Annie.
